Desription ......... Belgian by birth, the Brussels Griffon is a good example of the toy variety of dog. Brussels Griffons have a bright and cheerful disposition, a monkey-like muzzle and a wiry coat, often of a red color. There is also a smooth-coated variety of Brussels Griffon, of the same color and quickness, though both varieties sometimes can have another type of coat. The weight of Brussels Griffons varies from 4.8 to 10.8 pounds. The Brussels Griffon has much in common with the terrier, that's why he likes to play with members of a large and loud family, though he can be a merry and fearless friend for a single person, as well. Grooming doesn't require much effort, but it is good to take him to a professional groomer from time to time for a thorough trimming.
