:  1967

Desription .........  The Bedlington Terrier has probably the most original appearance among the Terriers. Not only does he have a typically arched back and a reddish “rat’s” tail, but his coat is also unusual —dense, slightly curly, giving the dog the look of a sheared sheep. He needs regular combing, which is actually not very complicated. The main color is bluish, sometimes gravel.

The breed descends from the northern parts of Britain. The traditional work of this dog is the rabbit hunt. The Bedlington also makes an excellent pet. He has a moderate appetite and can be trained from time to time. From his meek look one can’t tell that this Terrier’s personality follows the best traditions of the terrier breed, but, in reality, the Bedlington has the spirit of a fighter
