Desription .........  The Borzoi, like many other dogs bred in Russia, are intended for wolf baiting. He is tall (at least 29 inches at the withers) and elegant. The Borzoi’s oblong head and height give the dog a haughty and aristocratic appearance. The Borzoi has a long, slightly arched neck, which blends into sloping shoulders. All these features suggest that the Borzoi is the best representative of sight-hounds.

His thin hair varies in length over different parts his body.

Grooming requires considerable effort from the owner’s side, unless, of course, he turns to professional dog groomers. This dog can run with an astonishing speed, although he doesn’t need intense exercise. The Borzoi does not have a particularly good appetite and isn’t picky about food. He is usually devoted and obedient.
