Desription .........  The Saluki was bred in the Middle East. He has an elegant figure and several types of color – from white, cream and golden-red to black and fawn. There can be three-colored dogs of the Saluki breed. The coat is smooth, silky, and on the back parts of the thighs and on the ears the hair hangs down in long locks. At 28.5 inches tall, the Saluki has a light build. He has a thin layer of hypodermic fat on his body, and an inexperienced person can think that the dog doesn’t get enough to eat. Nevertheless he is very sturdy.

Bred to locate prey from afar, the Saluki has excellent eyesight. This dog is very sensitive to loud noise and rude treatment, therefore he isn’t a good fit for a house with loud and restless occupants. It is a very nervous, careful creature, but admirers say that he is very friendly to those he trusts.
