Desription .........  The Sloughi is an Arabian Borzoi from Northern Africa; he was described as a smooth haired variety of Saluki, but in fact it is a separate breed, though both serve the same function – desert hunting. The Sloughi is one of those breeds that will never become popular. The elegant appearance of this breed is apparent wherever he travels. There is a tendency to keep them thin, which means that the dog can be underfed.

The Sloughi grows up to 28 inches. The coat color varies from gravel or fawn to black, sometimes with fawn spots. As a rule, he is tender to his owner, but occasionally unpredictable individual features can appear in his character. One should consult the breeder before buying such a dog.
