Desription ......... The Whippet is a very popular breed these days, and his popularity is well deserved. It is a bright, beautiful, kind dog, and is easy to keep. The Whippet is noted for his cleanliness; despite his small size (maximum height 20.5 inches), the Whippet runs very quickly. He is a genuine sight hound. The Whippet likes to walk near the owner, alongside his leg, be it a walk in the park or a walk to the nearest store. He would get used to and love any owner. He is an energetic and hot-tempered dog – qualities necessary for a good hunter. His coat is thin and dense, with coat color varying from single-colored to spotted and many-colored. It doesn’t cost much to keep him, he isn’t picky about food and is so friendly that practically no other dog compares with him.
