The height of a Curly-Coated Retriever reaches 27.5 inches; he is proportionately built, so that his strong shoulders and extremities don’t look lanky. Anyone who has ever worked with this breed is taken with his brightness and his affinity for water. When he quickly finds the wounded bird and fetches it to his owner, he shakes off the water in a very peculiar way.
He doesn’t need too much food, though he does like to eat. He is quite a good guard, and he is very obedient and easy to control. Therefore, the Curly-coated Retriever can make a good pet.
