Desription ......... The Doberman (known as the Doberman Pinscher in the USA) originally comes from Germany, where they were bred as strong and fast guardian and police dogs by Ludwig Dobermann. These dogs display a clearly powerful physique, with a height of up to 28 inches. The Doberman is black with red markings on his muzzle, chest and feet. Sometimes instead of black, the Doberman displays a red or blue, or (more frequently) a fawn coat. These very energetic dogs are loyal to their human families, as all dogs are.

Security Dog : I am a law enforcer and my job puts my life always in danger. I used to worry a lot of my and my family's security until I got this working doberman pinschers. With this "security dog" in the house, I don't worry so much especially when I am working in the field. I brought this to one of our canine trainers and I was surprised when I got him back home, he was a real different dog. He can now recognize as much smell as I could and would even recognize people's smell. At a slight unnatural noise, he would react immediately and ran around to look for the source like a human security guard. His alertness and speed is what really makes him more lovable to my family especially my wife who used to worry so much about their safety. One thing more, it is fierce to strangers but very amicable and friendly to his masters. My kids love to play with him all the time, without having to fear being bitten. The level of intelligence of this canine is really unmatched. It is also very easy to keep because the dobbie does not get sick easily, it's strong resistance makes him away from diseases, so there is no much expenses on medicines. However, it really requires a lot of physical exercise to keep his muscles firm and strong.

Doberman, German Shepherd, or Rottweiler : I am thinking to get a new dog and I have my choices between a Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, and Rottweiler. I love big dogs but I also do not want a high-maintenance dogs. Do you know any other breeds that I can get? I am more into the Doberman because I like its over-all look and that it looks might and powerful. The Rottweiler more looks like a family dog and I think that my little kids will love it, but they may get afraid of the Doberman because of how it looks. Do you have any advice for me? Also, maybe you can share with me some info about these breeds of dogs? Thank you!
