Desription .........  The Sussex Spaniel is another lesser known, but nevertheless old breed that played a role in the appearance of Field Spaniels. His height reaches 16.5 inches, the body is solidly built, and the coat color is a very beautiful auburn. His cheekbones are wider than the Cocker’s, and the pendent eyebrows give the dog a serious look.

Having short legs, he is rather big-boned. The Sussex Spaniel doesn’t have an excessive appetite. A Sussex Spaniel is a good dog for a family who lives in the country, but hasn’t yet become popular as a pet.
