There are five color types of the Great Dane, each of them faithfully maintained by breeders: tiger, pale yellow, blue, black, and harlequin (marble colored, with small black spots with uneven edges against a pure white background.) Any other color is a deviation from the standard, and one shouldn’t waste their money after being assured that it is an unusual, very rare color and therefore very expensive. The Great Dane is a strong, broad-chested dog, a real hunter, and is very bright, and can therefore be easily trained to be obedient.
