Desription .........  The Schipperke’s native land is Belgium. This dog, whose height is 14.5 inches, is a kind of Spitz. Upright ears, a rather short neck and a square-built body give him a compact appearance. The tail is usually cut short, but if it is not, it is curled to the back, just like in others in the Spitz breed.

His coat is dense, wiry, black, and only occasionally creamy or golden brown. It is easy to keep this dog’s coat in good shape using a brush and a coarse cloth. The Schipperke moves swiftly, enjoys exercise, and has an amiable personality. He eats whatever you give him. This dog is a good pet and a guard, with a shrill bark and sharp hearing.
