Desription .........  The Keeshond is from Holland, where he guards farms and barges; he is also known as Dutch Barge Dog. This Keeshond resembles a Spitz with very small upright ears and a solid build and a tail, curled into a very dense ring. His height reaches 18.4 inches. Though his appetite can be huge, it is necessary to control his rations so he doesn’t put on weight.

The Keeshond has a dense, wiry coat. Its color is described as “silver” in the certificate but it’s actually grayish black. The coat protects him from freezing weather so well that for him anyway, central heating in one’s home is unnecessary. Therefore, the Keeshond’s coat is difficult to take care of; however, if the owner has some experience, the results will be amazing. The Keeshond loves human company and exercises with pleasure. Having a delicate ear, the Keeshond responds to guests’ arrival with loud barking, especially if they are strangers.
