Desription .........  Being very intelligent dogs, poodles are fast learners. These popular dogs come in three sizes: standard, miniature and toy, and in a variety of colors, including white, cream, apricot, blue, silver, chocolate and black. One characteristic of poodles is the “no shed” coat, which makes poodles ideal pets for people who suffer from allergies.

From an appearance standpoint, all three sizes of poodles share common characteristics: a proud, chiseled head, an elegant neck, and pleasantly proportioned body and legs. Usually, a poodle’s tail is cut back, but not always. The standard poodle is the tallest, standing at about 15 inches. The miniature poodle stands less than 11 inches, and the toy poodle is smaller yet.

Does your dog get dirty easily? : Mine does! She plays around with the other dogs and she gets dirty easily. There was even this one time when I went to visit my friend, who also has a lot of dogs, and we allowed them to play outside because she has a big fence and we did not have to worry about them getting out. Anyway, after a few hours, we went outside and we found all of them sitting on one corner really dirty and with mud all over their furs! It annoyed me but I then realized that it was alright because the dogs had fun. Also, the longest time that my dog did not take a bath was a month and she was stinky! How about you?

Weird names for a dog : Hi y'all! What do you think is the weirdest names that you ever heard someone call a dog? There was this one time when I brought my sister's dog with me at the park. We were playing around when this lady sat on the next bench. I almost fell off of the bench when I heard her call her dog bomby. I do not know if I got it right but I really think that it is funny and I had to hide my laugh from her. How about you? Did you give your dig a funny or weird name and what is the reason why you give it? I know some people give their dog weird names because they want to be popular or something.

Amount you pay for dog food each month : How much do you usually pay for the food of your dog or dogs each month? I spent more than $400 a month on their food alone because I am feeding a total of 6 dogs which are 2 big Rottweiler who eats a lot, 3 Shih Tzu and a Poodle. I give them a total of 24 cups per day. I know, that is a lot because I feed them three times a day because they are very hyper-active dogs and they need all the energy because they run a lot around the yard and the park. I give 2 cups of TOTW for each Rottweiler and a cup each for the smaller dogs. TOTW is expensive thus the $400 spending.

Brushing dog's hair : How often do you brush the hair of your dog? I have Dorothy and I brush her hair everyday. She is a poodle and I let her grow her hair because I like it when she has longer and curlier hair. She is a very high maintenance dog and I had to constantly brush her hair so that it won't be tangled. I usually spend 30 minutes to an hour a day just to brush her hair. I have a friend though who only brushes the hair of her dog for only a few times each week. Her dog is low maintenance and doesn't require any brushing. How about you? Do you always brush your dog's hair?

Looking for a low-shedding dog : My sister doesn't have a dog in their house and I want to give her one because her husband is away for work. I can't just give her any other type of dogs because she is asthmatic. I am looking for a non-shedding or a low-shedding dog that would keep her and her son company for the entire time that her husband is gone, and probably for a longer period of time. She also is a clean freak and she would not want to see dog hair on her couch and on other places in the house. Do you know any cute and none or low shedding dogs?

Conditioning my dog : I have a poodle named Dorothy. She has curly brown hair and sometimes I find it really hard to brush it because it has a lot of tangles. Her hair are also a little on the dry side which makes me really wonder about that because I only give her a bath and shampoo her hair every 4 days or so. My father suggested that maybe I could use a conditioner to keep her hair free from any tangles and to keep her hair soft and bouncy. How often should I do this? Or should I do this regularly so that I can brush her hair easily?

Giving my new dog a bath : I wanted to give Antsy a bath because when my cousin gave her to me, she is very dirty. It looks like she hasn't showered for weeks already. I tried putting her in the tub but she was struggling out of my hands to get free. She keeps on jumping and water keeps on splashing everywhere. She is such a mess. I don't think that she likes taking a bath. Is there any way that I can prevent her from doing this each time I give her a bath? Please help me because as you all know I am new with this kind of things.

Grooming my new Shih tzu : I just got my new Shih Tzu and I finally decided to name her Antsy because she is always moving around and jumping as if she never gets tired. I love her to bits and pieces. She is my angel now. Anyway, I use a wide-toothed comb to brush her hair and she really likes it. I want her to have log, flowing, and silky hair. My cousin suggested that I use that kind of brush and not any other else. Also, should I use any kind of sprays or shampoo to make her look cleaner and prettier? I am new to all this because she is my first dog. I need all of your help!

Do you sleep wtih your dog? : How many of you allow you dog to sleep together with you in your bed? How do you feel about it? Anyway, I just allowed my poodle named Dorothy to sleep beside me in my king-sized bed. She really loves it and she loves cuddling with me when we sleep. It also feels nice too because it is nice to cuddle with my baby and my husband. Dorothy usually positions herself beside our foot but she would move up closer to us. It feels really nice. Do you allow this? Aren't you worried that the dog might piss on your bed?

Always barking! : Rocky is always barking and it is starting to irritate me! Whenever the doorbell rings or someone will knock on the door she will bark continuously and non-stop for a maximum of 30 minutes. He still barks even when I show him that no one is at the door. I think that she is making fun of me by barking for no reason at all. He also barks a lot whenever he sees someone on the television, like when he sees another dog or a person. He would not stop barking. I tired calming him down but he still do it. I don't understand this. I've had him for a long time already and this is the first time that he has done this. Could it be that he is not feeling well or something? I need your advice. Help!

My poodle is not eating : I have noticed days ago that my poodle does not want to eat at all in the morning. She does not even touch it. I just witched her to TOTW Pacific Steam because I think that she is probably constipated. I noticed that the first 2 days that I switched her food she was eating regularly for her breakfast. However, I noticed that she did not even touch her food for breakfast. She does not want to eat dinner too. I'm bringing her to the vet tomorrow because I am afraid that something might be wrong with her. I'm confused with her actions because she seems very normal to me. She is not experiencing anything but she is not eating.

Dressing up dogs : Do you dress up your dogs? Well, me I dress my dog up during special occasions when I want her to look extra beautiful and when I want her to stand out. Just like last Halloween, I dressed her up as a princess because I think that it is fitting for her. All the kids in the neighborhood loved her and they all want to play and take pictures with her. My little princess really loved the attention. I also dressed her up during my birthday and I wanted for us to look the same so I asked a dressmaker to make her a dress which is similar to mine. I really love dressing her up and it seems that she is really enjoying it.

How many dogs do you have? : My friends think that I am crazy because I really have a lot of dogs at home. I have now 2 beautiful rottweilers named Dragon and Wolf, 3 shih tzu named Princess, Angel, and Empress, a poodle we lovingly call Pink, 4 pugs named Tara, Basti, Chole, and Thirdy. I am thinking of getting more like a Pomeranian or another cute little poodle, like the very small one. I really love dogs. Can you blame me? They are really cute and loveable and they also make me feel really good whenever I am feeling down. They are like a family to me and I even sleep with some of them sometimes.

How about you? How many dogs do you own?

Dog Health : Dog health is naturally an important subject for every dedicated dog owner. Some dog health problems affect all breeds to the same degree, while others are much more common in a certain dog breed or groups of dogs. Before you get a dog,it is therefore a good idea to find out if any special dog health problems are related to the dog breed that you are interested in.

Dogs' common names : If you are not artistic, you probably think of names like Brownie, Blackie or Whitie depending on the color of the dog. If you have an enemy, you would probably give your enemy's name to your dog. Hahaha!
