......... The Schnauzer (standard Schnauzer, working group) is a moderately sized dog in the Schnauzer family. His height at the withers reaches 19.5 inches. This is a stately, stout dog, which looks a lot fiercer than he really is. He is best for business people, because he warns about visitors with his sharp bass voice, be it a friend or a stranger. Like the Zwergschnauzer, he has a short, wiry coat, which is salt-and-pepper or black. Grooming these dogs is easy, even after they’ve walked in the mud. This dog loves exercise and just can’t get enough of it, especially if children join him. The Schnauzer would never prowl about in search for food beside his daily ration.
