Desription .........  The Siberian Husky is a famous racer among huskies, with a height of about 24 inches at the withers. His head resembles the head of a wolf, and these dogs use every muscle of their body efficiently. The coat of the Siberian Husky is made of rather long and warm hair, which helps keep him warm in even the most terrible frosts. Colors differ, and the Siberian Husky displays a coat that is often spotted.

The eyes of the Husky are perhaps the most remarkable feature of this breed; sometimes there may be one brown and one blue eye in the same dog. The Husky treats people very tolerantly, and if left on his own, the Siberian Husky may strive to become a leader, which may cause problems when in the dog harness.

Snow Resistant : I really love playing in the snow so I chose a Siberian Husky who loves the cold as much as I do. But I could not believe it because sometimes my pet would even be more tolerant of the cold than I am. Well, maybe because its origin is the cold region of the globe and its thick coat is also an added reason. Aside from tolerance of the cold, it is not far behind other breeds as far as appearance is concerned. They are as physically fit and attractive as other breeds in dog shows. It's coat are thick yet nice to caress, they are not as rough.

Yet for me, no breed would out best my Siberian Husky. I have learned to love his traits which resemble that of human friends - friendly and caring. It is extremely intelligent that it gets the accolades of the dog trainer very time I bring him for his regular training. He is able to internalize instructions at the soonest time possible, compared to other co-trainees. What is good about this breed of canine is that the things taught him are stored in his memory for a long time and would always be willing to show them off when asked to. Because of its hyperactive character, this breed needs physical; activity most of the time. It is advised that it be provided with a bigger place where it can play, otherwise, it will feel uncomfortable. It is not very susceptible to sickness as long as it is given proper care and regular hygiene regiment making it's life span longer than other canines.

Weight Loss : I think that my Siberian Husky is getting too heavy. He can't run anymore like what we usually do. He gets tired easily. Is he getting too heavy that he can't carry his self to run anymore? I think that he could lose a few pounds. I have been feeding him rice for about 5 months now and I give it to him twice a day together with a viand. Am I giving him too much? He does not really like the taste of dog food so I do not know what to give him anymore. Should I lessen the amount of rice that I give him?

Referring to animals as "it" : It just really annoys me when people call animals, especially dogs "it". It really bothers me because I think that we should call animals he or she as if they are human. I mean they are not a non-living thing. They have a life and we only call things "it". I think it is just plain mean. Usually people who do not own dogs call them "it". Whenever I hear someone refer to dogs as "it", it really annoys me because if we really love our dog we should not call them that. They also deserve some respect just like we deserve respect. What about you? What do you think? Do you prefer to call them he or she, or you'd rather call them it?

Feeding ice to dogs : It is a very hot and humid day here. My sister made an ice block and we ate it together. My dog, Rocky came over and I thought that he might like it so I gave him a small block. He started licking it but eventually stopped. I don't think that he does not like it; I think that maybe the ice block is too cold for his tongue to handle. I'm not really sure, though. How about you? Have you tried feeding your dogs ice when it is very hot? Or do you know more about what should I give my dog or not? Help!

A New dog : So, I have a pet Shih Tzu and she just gave birth a few months ago. She's a very loving and loveable. I love small dogs but I have been thinking a lot that maybe I should get a bigger dog because my mom wants something that can protect us and guard our house. I know that is kind of lame but I am also thinking of getting a big dog because I think it is the perfect time to get a bigger dog like a Rottweiler or something. Do you have any suggestions? Can you recommend a dog that can play around with my pet Shih Tzu without harming her? Do you know any breed which is perfect for a big dog beginner like me? My mom suggested that we get a dog from the rescue so that we are able to help the doggies there.

Puppies are always screaming! : Our 4 new Shih Tzu puppies are always crying and screaming over everything that we are doing to them. We tried giving them a bath but they were all screaming as if me and my husband are beating them up. They do this everytime we do something to them. They make a big fuss out of everything that we are doing to them. We do not understand this. I know that the puppies may be possibly scared but we have been doing that for quite some time now but they still do the same. We tried clipping their nails last night and they were moving and moving. It is very difficult because we do not want to hurt them. Could they be sick or hurt? Is there any way that we can prevent or stop their screaming when we give them a bath or when we clip their nails?

Shih Tzu pups are crying at night : I have noticed that the puppies of my Shih Tzu are always crying at night. It really bothers my husband and I because we can't sleep at night completely because they are crying too loud. Why do they do this? Is there any way that I can know the difference between when they want to have a potty break or are they just crying to get our attention? We were also worried because we thought that maybe they are hungry or something. What seems to be the problem? We need help. Thank you.

Walking the dogs : Do you walk your dogs? And if you do, how long do you walk them? I walk my Siberian Husky for about an hour or so. I also bring him with me whenever I go running and we run together. I walk and run him a lot because he is a big dog and he needs all the exercise that he can get. We sometimes can go for about a mile but I make sure that I bring him water because he can get really thirsty and tired. I want to walk him longer though, like maybe two to three miles everyday. We usually go running in the subdivision near our house. I really love it when we go walking or running together because I feel protected when I am with him.

Dressing up dogs : Do you dress up your dogs? Well, me I dress my dog up during special occasions when I want her to look extra beautiful and when I want her to stand out. Just like last Halloween, I dressed her up as a princess because I think that it is fitting for her. All the kids in the neighborhood loved her and they all want to play and take pictures with her. My little princess really loved the attention. I also dressed her up during my birthday and I wanted for us to look the same so I asked a dressmaker to make her a dress which is similar to mine. I really love dressing her up and it seems that she is really enjoying it.

Favorite dog breed : What are your favorite breeds of dogs? I love many breeds of dogs whether they may be small or big ones. I love my Rottweiler dogs because even though some people think that they are aggressive and scary, they are really not. I think that they are one of the most sweet, caring, and protective dog that you can ever find. Although they can get overprotective sometimes, we really appreciate it because we know that they also love us. Another breed that I totally adore are Shih Tzu dogs. They are also very sweet and nice. They are also not hard to take care of. I love styling them up and giving them nice clothes from time to time, but not always.

How many dogs do you have? : My friends think that I am crazy because I really have a lot of dogs at home. I have now 2 beautiful rottweilers named Dragon and Wolf, 3 shih tzu named Princess, Angel, and Empress, a poodle we lovingly call Pink, 4 pugs named Tara, Basti, Chole, and Thirdy. I am thinking of getting more like a Pomeranian or another cute little poodle, like the very small one. I really love dogs. Can you blame me? They are really cute and loveable and they also make me feel really good whenever I am feeling down. They are like a family to me and I even sleep with some of them sometimes.

How about you? How many dogs do you own?

Best human food to feed the dogs : I am just wondering, what is the best human food that I can give our dogs? We've been having financial problems lately and a thought occurred to me that maybe I can feed our dogs the food that we are also eating, like left-over foods. Is it bad? I mean we are really trying to make ends meet and dog foods can get pretty expensive. We don't want our pet dogs to suffer. We still want to feed them.

Do you also feed your dogs human food? And if so, what are the best that I can give them? I haven't tried feeding them yet. We need help.

Siberian Husky Puppy Teeth Problem : I've noticed that one of my little Siberian Husky baby canines have not fallen out yet and it looks like the permanent canine is coming in behind it. I cant really tell, but it looks like a couple of other teeth are going through the same thing! I am worried about this because I am not sure if the baby teeth will fall out on there own or need to be pulled. I am going to wait about another week or so and then if no change occurs I am going to take him to the vet. If anyone knows what I should do or if this is normal please let me know!

My Dog cries all night, every night : Hello, I'm desperately in need of some help... I recently took in a 11 month old Siberian Husky that had been tied to a door and left alone for the majority of her life. Now that I have her she has abandonment issues and begins to cry for hours if no one is around, or if she is sleeping alone. This has become a major problem because she keeps my family and the neighbors awake at night. I don’t know what I could do to stop this behavior, because I’m losing sleep over it and just about everyone has reached their limit.
